Birding Tour Murders

In Book 1, Lizzie, a young female tour guest is a no-show on Hazel's tour. Hey, it happens, Hazel thinks. But when Lizzie's body is found at the bottom of the main pyramid of Chichen Itza, Hazel disagrees with the police. Lizzie's death was no accident. 

In Book 2, Hazel's initial delight in discovering evidence that an endemic species thought to be extinct might have a few survivors is shattered when thefts, threats, and guest disappearances occur on her tour. Poachers have discovered the same evidence. And they will stop at nothing - not even murder of humans and of birds - to achieve their evil goals.
